Jeff Moore is a photographer who loves waterfowling most. He pursues his sport from Illinois to North Dakota every year and tries to capture dramatic but realistic stories of courageous Labs, stunning sunrises, well-worn decoys and fast flying fowl. His work has appeared in Ducks Unlimited, The Retriever Journal, Gray's Sporting Journal, Field & Stream, California Waterfowl, Shooting Sportsman, as well as Decoy Magazine. His client list includes Filson, Duxbak and Drake Waterfowl Systems, HIgh’N’ Dry waders and Bowhunting.com..
In 2016, his shot of a retriever dragging a goose was selected in the Communication Arts Photo Annual. In 2018 and again in 2019, he was selected in the Annual with unique shots of Canada geese in flight.
In 2018, Jeff's photo exhibition Eagles: Kings of the Sky was displayed at The Dickson Mounds Illinois State Museum in Lewistown, IL.
Sotheby’s used his photos in 2014 to sell one of its most expensive decoys ever.
In 2006, his work was honored as Best In Show by Illinois Outdoors Magazine. In 2009, Jeff’s picture of an Eider Decoy was chosen as the cover of Robert Shaw’s book Bird Decoys of North America.
Today, Jeff still hunts and brings his camera along every time. He’s always looking for places to photograph concentrated waterfowl from coast to coast
